Types of Safe
Cash/Valuables Safe
These safes are designed to securely store cash or valuables of any kind, up to the value of the ‘insurance rating’ awarded to that particular safe. i.e a safe with a ‘cash rating’ of £3000 can securely hold up to £3000 in cash and £30,000 in valuables. Some safes are available with optional ’special features’ i.e internal lighting, adjustable shelves, drawers etc.
Safes are made to be either free standing, which means they still require fixing to a solid floor or wall to retain their insurance rating, underfloor, which means they are fitted into the ground with just the access point visable or wall fitted, meaning they are built into the wall, again with only the door visable.
“Choosing the right safe will mean that things stored inside are properly protected and covered under your insurance”
Fire Safes And Data Safes
Fire Safes
Paper and documents are known to deteriorate at temperatures above 177 degrees Centigrade. As a result Fire Safes have been designed to a higher specification to protect the safes contents from a fire for several hours, depending on the grade.
Data Safes
The loss of data, as a direct result of a fire, can in many cases be enough to cause a business to fail. (Electronic) Data is far more vulnerable to excessive heat, dust, humidity and magnetic fields than traditional paper based documents. Temperatures over 55 degrees centigrade will destroy data so something as simple as a hot cup of tea could strip your business of vital information. Data safes are generally a step up from Fire safes in terms of providing a safes contents with protection from heat.

These are availblae for a vairety of applications such as laptop storage, key storage, medicine storage, firearms etc.
